Picturing: Bitter Cold

Toronto today: bitter cold with tree relief.

A Morning Walk Down a Toronto Street

BBC Radio 2 is on while I work. This morning I was half-listening to the radio hosts while they went on about something.

A tune kicked up. A lyrical "Bloor Street" caught my attention.

Did he say "Bloor Street"?

I turned up the volume.

"Yonge"?

I checked the playlist; what was playing this minute. A guy named Kiefer Sutherland was the artist, and the song listed was "Bloor Street". I hadn't heard of this song before, but my quick research revealed why: it's pretty new.

It's also pretty good.

To Warp Out....

Whenever I sit at my desk, which is much of the time, the above fictional space vehicle is in view as it sits on my computer monitor's base. Not that I'm itching to go anywhere right now, but I can imagine being whisked away on this thing.

First, however, I must get beamed up!....

Sunday Fun: Keeping One's Mouth Shut

It seems that every time I utter, to myself or someone I'm not aware is in earshot, the simple question, "Where is winter?!", the next day we get a taste of winter's wares.

I actually like winter, as it cools down Toronto's long, hot, and humid summers. Awaiting the early-March warmth....
