In 2022, Star Trek's restored eleven-foot Starship Enterprise studio filming model went back on display at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC, after the museum underwent some major renovations.
NCC-1701 is a work of beauty, and is still, in my opinion, the greatest of all fictional space vessels. (Its designer was the brilliant Walter Matt Jefferies.) As an old friend of mine said: "It just glows."
