A moving work, In and Out of the Goldfish Bowl is the debut novel of Welsh author Rachel Trezise. Autobiographical, its power comes from its depictions of an impoverished and at-times brutal childhood. The book is a tough read, certainly for those folk who come from a generally safe and comfortable environment.
In 2009 the now-gone CBC magazine show "Sunday" did a story on Trezise, which compelled me to track down some of her work.
