Yep. Last Wednesday while my phone was supposedly recharging, it happened. More correctly, it happened after I disconnected the USB connector to inspect why my phone 'felt' inert. I dug my fingernail in to pop open the phone body. As I fumbled about for a few seconds I noticed the glass was lifting off ever so slightly from the body. To the other side: same thing.
Sometimes I'm a few beats behind getting the story, but this one I immediately knew to be trouble. I quarantined the phone on a concrete surface, as suggested by an answer I received from a quick and essential online search.
