My introduction to this film was curated by, no surprise, Elwy Yost and his great OECA movie programme, Saturday Night at the Movies. This would have been late 1975 or early 1976. I was transfixed by Fritz Lang's vision, and his use of 'odd' characters. Dr. Mabuse and Doktor Mabuse are creepy.
Not long after this Criterion DVD edition hit the marketplace, I borrowed it from Toronto Public Library system. The disc-set's extras are superb, no surprise.
My good friend Greg checked his lists: This airing of The Last Will of Dr. Mabuse was on April 10th, 1976 -- I had guessed March when I sent him my request. "Last Will", as in the alternate title, came crashing back to me when Greg emailed me the info.
