I first read the original Hyperion (1994) copy of the book. Its revelations were so shocking (they weren't at all) that I grabbed the above.
The Daily Mail quote on the book's front cover is a hook for those with even a mild interest in Star Trek, but those fans who are interested in that show's nuts & bolts and "behind the scenes" would hardly experience "deep shock". But it is fascinating reading, due primarily to author Engel's journalistic skills.
