Minutes ago I was reading up on Austrian-American film director Alfred "Fred" Zinnemann when I saw actress Eva Marie Saint listed — she co-starred with Don Murray and Anthony Franciosa in the director's 1957 flick A Hatful of Rain (which I've never seen).
My Wow: Ms Saint is still with us at 102 years of age! "She was born in nineteen twenty-four, which means she's now...."
She co-starred in the brilliant 1954 crime drama On the Waterfront, with Marlon Brando.

I saw an interview with her on TCM. Robert Osborne commented on her in NORTH BY NORTHWEST. "You were 34 and sexy..." She responded, "Now I'm 88 and sexy." And she was right! HATFUL OF RAIN is great, by the way. Haven't thought of that film in years, after seeing it on WUTV one afternoon. Her part for ON THE WATERFRONT may be the oldest Oscar win for a still-living recipient.
